She has long black hair that goes to her butt.

Oh, I just thought of something else. If she is brave enough to go short, she can donate her hair to Locks of Love. They collect hair (10" or longer) and use it to make hairpieces for children with medical conditions that make them lose their hair. Here's the link.

Keep it long, straight and soft %26amp; naturally beautiful. Or, braid it overnight while it's still wet and it will have beautiful waves in the morning.

I would get it layered. It gives it a very flowing look, unlike the straight block cutting in the back which is very plain and boring.

The first and shortest layers fall nicely on the face and the rest of the layers flow down beautifully.

Go ahead, give it a try. I think the layered style goes well on any face structure and style. Plus, there is a lot of ways you can style the layers to get different affects on the hair.

There's straight, the outward flip (looks very outgoing and adventurous), the inward flip (looks very elegant as it sleekly follows the structure of your face), side partition, middle partition, few hairs pinned up in the middle of the head, pinned to the side, plain old ponytail, half up, etc, etc, etc....

You can get very creative with layered hair!

i do too. one thing i do is after a shower... i put in loose braids. let dry..do not comb or brush, just loosen the braids with fingers and add some light 1or 2 grade styling gel...maybe a flexible spray....spraye d about 1 foot from the hair.

DON"T EVER LET HER CUT IT!!! If you want your fiance to try different hairstyles, you should check out www.dreamweaverbraiding.com and try to recreate some of these styles for her.

My fiance is a mechanic, and it is very nice when he comes home, washes up, and braids my hair for me. He doesn't think it is "sissy" at all to know how to braid.
