I have long, light colored brownish blonde hair. It is down to my chest. I don't have bangs. I usually have it up in clips. It is naturally wavy, but I like to straighten it with a straightening iron when I have it down, which is barely ever. I want to know some casual updos that I can do myself, or possibly enlist the help of someone in my family and that don't look like I just got back from prom.

personally, i love messy buns lol. if you dont know how to make them, just put in a pony tail, and mess the hair up in a sorta bun look lol. and other than that, i also like half up, half down. i think thats really cute. but if you want to take the time to use a curling iron, you can put in a high pony tail and curl the hair in little ringlets thats in the pony tail, i think that is so cute. and leave a little hair-bangs out so its in the front.

i used to really like the pulled-back ponytail where you wrap a lock of hair around the base of the ponytail (over the band) - gives it a totally natural, unexpected, very classy twist.

oh and i love chopsticks - or hair sticks, or pencils. you kinda have to experiment to get it to work - i took my hair back like i was starting a ponytail, twisted it, kept twisting, then turned the twist over and stuck the pencil through.

the pony tail only looks classy when the hair is straight otherwise, you'll end up looking like you are coming from the gym, unless you use a curlyng iron to define large curls.

Pull your hair down as if you were putting it in a low ponytail, and slowly twist your hair pulling up as you twist it (be sure to pull up slowly), and put bobby pins to hold the hair up and, voila!

put the bottom in hair rollers and after its rolled put it up in a curly pony tail

curl the pony tail in ringlets (spiral curls)

french braid your hair upside down, its really easily done, just a regular french braid while your hair is upside down, stop at pony tail height and put it in a bun.....this way is really tight, and would be good for going out on the town or going to the gym
